Frequently asked questions

What are the SST rates?

Service tax is generally 8% (6% for some services such as food and beverage). Sales tax on goods is generally 10%, or 5% for some goods. The scope was widened in 2025, so check the Customs (MySST) guides for your goods or services.

Does this create a MyInvois e-invoice?

No. It creates a PDF invoice. All e-invoicing phases have started; small businesses are exempt, and the exemption was reported to rise to annual turnover under RM3 million from 1 September 2026. Check LHDN for the current rule. If you are in scope, submit the e-invoice through MyInvois or your provider.
