What a GST bill must include

  • Shop name, address and GSTIN (if registered)
  • A consecutive bill number and date
  • Item description, quantity, rate and GST per item
  • CGST and SGST (or IGST) shown, with the total
  • Composition dealers issue a Bill of Supply and charge no tax

Frequently asked questions

Should the rate I enter include GST?

For retail, the MRP already includes GST, so leave "Prices include tax" on. The bill then shows the tax contained in the total.

Can I print this on a thermal printer?

Yes. Choose the 80mm receipt format and print the PDF on your thermal roll printer. A4 is also available.

I am a composition dealer. What do I do?

Tick the composition option. The bill becomes a Bill of Supply with no tax shown, as required.
