Frequently asked questions
When should I issue a credit note?
When you need to reduce an invoice you have already issued: returns, discounts, overcharges or cancellations. Do not edit or delete the original invoice.
Is a credit note the same as a refund?
No. A credit note records the reduction. You then either refund the money or offset it against future invoices.
